Direct & Indirect Services
The Ability Beyond Barriers Board operates programs directly and provides services both directly and indirectly.
Case Management
Case Management is the foundation for all services delivered or coordinated by Ability Beyond Barriers. Ability Beyond Barriers has been providing exceptional case management services since 1984.
Residential Support
The Ability Beyond Barriers Board operates a variety of residential programs in Horry County. There are currently two 8-bed houses, ten 4-bed houses, one 10-unit apartment complex and an independent living program.
Day Services
New Ideas Industries is the day services component of the Ability Beyond Barriers Board. The Board operates two Work Activity Centers, one in Conway and the other in Loris.
Head & Spinal Cord Injury
Ability Beyond Barriers offers services for persons who have sustained a brain or spinal cord injury, or a similar disability.
Waivers
A Waiver is a provision in the Federal Medicaid guidelines that allows people who meet specific criteria the opportunity to receive services and supports that enable them to live in their community or at home with their families.
